This happened to us on Christmas morning. Stupid Xbox couldn’t/wouldn’t help. Finally I used a 6 year old laser disk lens cleaner (dry). This fixed it immediately. Xbox is horrible. I will never spend another dime with with them! They must know how simple it is to remedy this problem and choose to keep it a secret so they can charge out the for repairs.

hey i had this problem but i fixed it by opening and cleaning the xbox 360. I also cleaned the laser with a q-tip/cotton bud.
Cleared out all the dust and now it works fine. I use to only hav this problem for dvds then it happen to my games but now dvds work after i gave it a good clean. So try it and let me know if it wrks. But i still hav one other problem tray wont open if their aint no game inside

Yo, trust me on this one. You CAN open it without voiding a warranty. I did it last night with a hair drier set between 125 and 250 degrees and a sharp short knife and after you hold the hair drier on it for about 1 minute start to peel the silver sticker off slowly. Than all you need is a Torx screwdriver and a small abject to get all the joints open. Just look up a guide here on Youtube and you’ll figure it out in no time like I did.

Hey well if you dint get it fixed yet just take a blowdryer on the stickers and then they come off like new couldint tell it was even opend .. My xbox did the same thing opend it up took the dvd drive out took it apart and then just dusted the out of it .. and put it back together and now it works like new.. only cost me 1 hour of my time and 6 bucks for a can on compressed air .
